Renewed support for advanced offshore wind technologies

A series of measures have been introduced to boost the levels of inward investment in the UK offshore wind industry, stimulate jobs and push forward innovative offshore wind technologies. The creation of an Offshore Wind Investment Organisation (OWIO) has been announced by Business and Energy Minister, Michael Fallon. The OWIO forms part of the government's forthcoming offshore wind industrial strategy. The organisation will be a partnership between industry and government established by UK Trade & Investment to complement existing offshore wind investment work.
