Sustainable energy groups welcomed publication in September of the final report of the Conservative Party's Quality of Life Policy Group,chaired by John Gummer and vice-chaired by Zac Goldsmith.Among wider proposals on the range of environment issues,the report set out a range of policy proposals concerning electricity generation,central to which is a proposition to make the reduction of carbon emissions the main energy policy goal.
