First lithium titanate battery for UK energy storage

The UK's first 2 MW lithium titanate battery is to be connected to the grid this month, as part of research to tackle the challenges of industrial-scale energy storage. The project - led by the University of Sheffield -aims to test the technological and economic challenges of using large-scale batteries to provide support to the grid.
