摘要

A bespoke monitoring, logging and reporting system has been developed to highlight real-time temperature changes in Network Rail transformer rooms to avoid faults. Evidence from Network Rail South East's BMS systems showed that there was a higher incidence of equipment failure within high-voltage transformer rooms and line side signalling buildings when internal temperatures exceeded 30°C. To avoid this, the rail operator looked to implement a non-intrusive monitoring and reporting system to alert its engineers before signals and relays developed a fault.
