Partnership backing for small-scale renewables

Environment secretary David Miliband has announced that renewable energy schemes are to receive a 10 million pounds investment from the government under the Partnership for Renewables (PfR), with the sum split equally across 2007/08 and 2008/09. Run by the Carbon Trust, the PfR scheme will involve organisations from the private sector to develop on-site renewable energy projects with local authorities, hospitals and other public sector bodies.
