摘要

It has been demonstrated that the electricalconductivity of a composite film consisting of heat-treated poly(anthranilic acid) (PANA) and poly (vinyl alcohol) is linearlyrelated to the CO2 concentration. Heat-treatment of PANA atelevated temperature led to the elimination of carboxyl groups,and to the formation of base-type polyaniline (PAn). The increasein conductivity of the composite film in proportion to the CO2concentration is attributed to the transformation of the insulatingbase-type PAn to the conducting salt-type which is caused by theincorporation of carbonate ions formed by the hydrolysis of CO2into the base-type PAn.
