Volammetry in a Gel Medium

摘要

Voltammetry of ferricyanide in an agarose gel bulkmedium allowed observation of diffusion controlled redoxcurrents. The diffusion coefficient of 0.28×10-5 cm2/s wasdetermined in the agarose gel medium. Furthermore, it waspossible to scan the potential as slow as 0.01 mV/s withouthaving convection currents. It provides a novel medium, not onlyto control diffusion of redox species, but also to doelectrochemistry without a container.
