BP, EIA Data Highlight Shifting Atlantic Trade Currents

Presenting the latest edition of BP's annual Statistical Review of World Energy last week, BP Chief Economist Christof Ruhl highlighted how burgeoning shale/tight reservoir production saw the US claim both the largest increment of fresh oil supply globally in 2012, and the largest-ever annual oil supply increase in its own history — up 1 million barrels per day, to reach some 8.9 million b/d in total.
