Superficially oil traders seem to have convinced themselves that the worst of the global financial crisis is over and that, although the world may trudge along the bottom for some time, things won't get dramatically worse. Crude oil futures are maintaining a forgiving $48-$53 trading band, with most of the action centered fairly narrowly around $50.
