SINGAPORE: Shell, ExxonMobil expand petrochemicals investments

Two of Singapore's largest private investors,Anglo Dutch major Shell and ExxonMobil of the US,last month announced expansion works on their petrochemical facilities.The expanded Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex (SEPC)will include a new 800,000 tonnes per annum,world-scale ethylene cracker and a 750,000 tonnes per annum mono-ethylene glycol (MEG)plant.The project scope also includes modifications and additions to the Bukom refinery.
