摘要

Asia's fast rising income and volatile oil prices will have a greater impact on world trade than income growth in the West next year, said a study commissioned by DHL,the world's leading express and logistics company. The study undertaken by the Economist Intelligence Unit,Fuelling Global Trade:How GDP growth and oil prices affect international trade flows, examined trade flows between 39 countries in the three main economic regions:Asia, the European Union and the North America Free Trade Agreement(NAFTA).It focused on two key areas-the impact of economic slowdown on trade flows in Asia and the West;and the effect of oil prices on the value of trade between these countries.
