The perfect lawns of SW19 grace our screens every June as we sit glued to the Championships at Wimbledon, desperately hoping for that elusive British win. At the All England Lawn Tennis Club the courts are as close to perfection as possible.To whet our appetite before Wimbledon, the Aegon Championships were held at the Queen's Club in west London, where again the courts are prepared to the highest standards. But what of grass court tennis in the rest of the country? Does anyone else play on grass? Ifso, what is the standard of the playing surfaces at other venues? The two most high profile tennis competitions held regularly in the UK are both played on grass. Is this a surface that our juniors are playing on?
