QATAR: Qatar Petroleum puts US$ll-billion refinery on hold

State Qatar Petroleum (QP) has delayed the construction of its 250,000 b/d al Shaheen oil refinery. It has withdrawn the tender for the engineering, procurement and construction contract to scale down the proposed the US$11 billion project and re-tender at a later date.
