Speaking at the Queensland Gas Conference & Exhibition (QGCE), held in Bisbane in mid-August, Mr de Weijer said it was important to realise the significant emerging gap between gas supply and demand in Queensland's neighbouring state, "Today, gas is less than 10 per cent of the energy mix in New South Wales and more than 90 per cent is actually imported from other states from declining fields," Mr de Weijer said.
