Alack of incentives for utilities to charge consumers less for their energy usage has meant that government efforts to keep energy prices down is not as effective as it should be, according to a report released in November 2010. Connection Research's report Residential Energy Management in Australia 2010 uses data obtained from a survey of 2700 Australian households, combined with comprehensive research into energy industry imperatives.
