Consider the following scenario; mains power to your plant fails, causing the standby batteries to discharge as they supply backup power. The remote monitoring system activates an alarm at control centre to warn of low battery voltage. By using the remote monitoring system you are able to view the load being placed on the batteries and determine exactly how much battery life, and therefore time, is left before the batteries are fully discharged.
