Coker yields rise, but coke production stalls

Coker yields have increased in the US midcontinent and Gulf coast, suggesting that more petroleum coke production should be in the pipeline. But at least one major US refiner said that it has seen “continual small decreases in production” at its Gulf high-sulphur refinery, attributing this most likely to crude slates.
