US, Canada aluminium demand falls in February

Demand for aluminium ingot and mill products in the US and Canada was down by 2pc in January-February from the same period a year earlier. Demand in the region, based on shipments of ingot and mill products by domestic companies plus imports, fell to 4.1bn from 4.12bn in the same year-earlier period, according to preliminarily estimates from the Aluminum Association.
