China’s refinery runs slipped to 10.42mn b/d in May, dropping by 4pc from April’s record high as gasoline demand growth waned, data from the national statistics bureau. Runs were fat compared with May last year. China’s crude production continues to decline. Output was 3.92mn b/d in May, down by 2pc from the previous month and by 7pc from a year earlier.
