Brazil’s state-controlled Petrobras is suing to recover around R1.28bn ($423mn) from contractors and executives allegedly involved in a kickback scheme. “The lawsuits are on top of a series of measures the company has adopted to guarantee full compensation for the losses it has suffered, including those related to its reputation,” Petrobras said in an 8 May securities filing.
