Potential bidders for Lafarge, Holcim assets emerge

Several companies are expressing interest in buying cement assets from Lafarge and Holcim as the two large producers’ merger progresses. Both companies have confirmed receipt of offers for either individual plants or a number of assets. Holcim’s assets in Hungary, Serbia, Canada and Mauritius and Lafarge’s holdings in Germany and Romania are on the table, along with part of their business in other nations.
