Transend general manager network Mike Hunnibell said that these extra supply points from the transmission system to the distribution system would give Aurora more flexibility to supply electricity to its customers in West Launceston, Westbury, Longford and Perth areas. Aurora is installing its infrastructure and anticipates that it will be installed by late April 2006. "Hadspen Substation now has the ability to directly supply into Aurora's distribution system," Mr Hunnibell said. "This will also help to better manage the load at the substations that supply the greater Launceston area.
