Key Chinese coal producers raise June prices

China’s major coal producers state-controlled Shenhua, China Coal, Datong and Yitai have raised their June domestic prices by 10 yuan/t or about 2.5pc for all grades of thermal coal, refecting tighter supply despite lower coal consumption. The producers raised prices for all products for all grades, taking prices of NAR 5,500 kcal/kg coal pegged to Yn402 yuan/t ($61/t) on a fob north China basis. The companies had kept prices unchanged for May.
