US crude output will rise, but not exports: IEA

US crude output will rebound by 2021 after a temporary dip, but exports from the US will remain low, the IEA projected in its Medium-term Oil Market Report. The IEA projects that US production — including NGLs — will reach 14.2mn b/d by 2021, up by 1.3mn b/d from 2015. But the total will dip to 12.35mn b/d in 2017 before recovering later in the decade. US production growth over 2016-21 will account for twothirds of the total increase from non-Opec sources, IEA executive director Fatih Birol said at the IHS CeraWeek conference in Houston.
