January Mars output highest since September

Shell-operated US Gulf Mars pipeline deliveries totalled nearly 380,000 b/d in January, the highest since September 2015, according to Louisiana state data. Medium sour Mars deliveries totalled about 379,000 b/d in January, with around 369,000 b/d going to the Mars trade hub of the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP) storage terminal in Clovelly, Louisiana. This was about 6,500 b/d more than in December last year. At the LOOP terminal, Mars can be delivered into one of two Mars storage caverns or into LOOP Sour storage, which can take Mars, US Gulf medium sour Poseidon, or imported sours Arab Medium, Iraqi Basrah Light and Kuwaiti oil.
