Revenues from crude shipments were up 60pc in the frst two months of 2015 thanks to demand to ship heavy Canadian oil, railroad Kansas City Southern (KCS) said on 2 March. Despite low crude prices, “We are going to experience growth in our crude business,” chief fnancial offcer Michael Upchurch told the Raymond James Institutional Investors conference. “Throughout the year with incremental facilities and incremental refning capacity there will be additional growth opportunities.”
