Credit rating agency Moody’s has downgraded Mexico’s staterun Pemex’s global foreign currency and local currency ratings, a move that raises the firm’s borrowing costs. Moody’s cut the ratings to Baa1 from A3, and also reduced Pemex’s baseline credit assessment to Ba3 from Ba1, asserting that the firm’s credit metrics will continue to deteriorate in the near to medium term.
