US exports of petroleum coke broke a record in 2011for the sixth consecutive year, at 32.61mn mt. Of the top10 destinations for US coke last year, four were in Asia, including the top two – China and Japan. US exports to China at 4.36mn mt in 2011 were up 59pc from 2.75mn mt a year earlier.
