The petroleum coke export jetty at state-owned oil firm PdV’s PetroAnzoategui upgrader will not resume loading operations until 15 January at the earliest, according to local shipping officials. The jetty has been off line since 23 December after a break in the conveyor belt. PdV said at the time the jetty would resume operations before 5 January. But repairs have taken longer than expected because of delays in importing replacement parts. The tanker Clementine was loading 45,000mt of petroleum coke destined for Italian firm Energy Coal when the conveyor belt snapped.
