BP CANADA SELLS COCHIN STAKE TO KINDER MORGAN

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners will pay BP Plc 50 million for the half stake it doesn't already own in Canada's main propane and butane pipeline,boosting its control of gas liquids transport in North America,it was announced in mid-January.Kinder Morgan will operate and own all of the Cochin Pipeline,which carries natural gas liquids 3,000 kilometres to Windsor,Ontario from Fort Saskatchewan.The company has been boosting its interest since first buying a 32.5% stake in 2000.BP still intends to be a long-term shipper of gas liquids on Cochin.
