NETWORK UPGRADE BENEFITS 6000 INNER-CITY BRISBANE HOMES AND BUSINESSES

Energex has finished a $10 million upgrade to the Hamilton and Ascot electricity network in Brisbane, which will benefit more than 6000 homes and businesses in the local area. The project involved major upgrades of Energex's Hamilton Substation. The upgrade included the replacement of two 7.5MVA electricity transformers with two 25MVA transformers, more than tripling the power capacity to homes and businesses in parts of Ascot, Hamilton, Eagle Farm, Hendra, Newstead and Albion.
