Cartagena crude imports fall amid refinery works

The Spanish Mediterranean port of Cartagena received lower volumes of crude in April as integrated oil company Repsol undertook maintenance at its 220,000 b/d refinery for the second time this year. Repsol started a 45 day maintenance programme — to include work on a 100,000 b/d vacuum distillation unit and a 1.2mn t/yr coker — at the refinery at the start of April. Repsol said the works are proceeding on schedule and its products output in Spain will be unaffected.
