The IEA expects the seasonal third-quarter ramp-up in global refining runs to be the largest on record, as refineries return from planned and unplanned shutdowns in the second quarter, and demand continues to rise. This jump could ease the tight global supply of petro- leum coke that has been helping to drive up prices in recent months.
