Japanese shipowner NS United’s profit halved year-on-year to $33.47mn (4,055mn yen) for the first three quarters of the financial year, as dry bulk freight rates reached multi-year lows. As a result, the company revised its profit guidance for the full financial year ending March 2016 down by $17.33mn (￥2,100mn) to $50.35mn (￥6,100mn).
