Every year huge losses are incurred because of insulation failures of medium-voltage (3-3kV) motors and dry-type transformers. The costs of insulation failure include the costs of removing failed equipment from service and for reinstallation after repair; cost of transportation to and from the site; direct repair costs; and cost of downtime and lost production. The ZORC Surge Suppressor is compact, first within most motor/transformer terminal enclosures or switchgear panels and is available as both single phase and three phase versions. It may be mounted in any orientation and convenient mounting brackets or clamps are provided.
