US Natural Gas Futures Take Roller Coaster Ride

Much like the weather, the February Nymex gas futures contract was on a bit of a roller coaster ride during the final week of 2015, but prices held firm above the $2 per million Btu mark. On Wednesday, its first day as the prompt month, the February contract tumbled 15.6￠ to $2.214/MMBtu, only to recover 12.3￠ on Thursday following a storage withdrawal that was well above the year-ago level.
