Pemex auctions Minatitlan coke in small lots

Mexico’s state-run Pemex awarded 2,200t of petroleum coke to multiple buyers in small lots during its fourth electronic tender on 26 October. The coke was divided into 22 lots of 100t each, all coming from the 246,000 b/d Minatitlan refinery. The company had set a floor price of $55/t for the auction, but bids went for up to $64/t. This is broadly similar to the latest US Gulf 6.5pc sulphur price, which was assessed at $65/t on 26 October.
