Chevron shut unidentified equipment late last week following a malfunction at its 330,000 b/d refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The refiner reported that an equipment failure increased emissions and caused a “plant shut-down” at 10:30pm ET on 19 February, according to a filing to federal hazardous materials monitors released on 22 February. Emissions were ongoing at the time of the report. A Chevron representative could not be reached for comment.
