Powerlink Queensland receive industry recognition for two of its ground breaking engineering innovations at the recent 2003 Engineering Excellence Awards held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Powerlink was announced the winner in the Control Systems, Networks, Information Processing and Telecommunications category for its AUTObuild software and winner in the Reports, Procedures and Systems category for a joint submission with Systems Engineering Australia for its Wind Storm Risk Model. The 2003 Engineering Excellence Awards (Queensland), run by Engineers Australia (Queensland Division), identifies, recognises and rewards outstanding achievement in engineering and service to the profession.
