The Challenger Gold Mine Power Station project recently commissioned by BEC Engineering utilised the Motherwell Automation-supplied control system for seven Cummins K19 powered 500KVA Gen-sets. The control system included the DEIF Multi-Line 2 Gen-Set controller Parallel and Protection (PPU) unit. The DElf units include digital control for KW and Var sharing and a display panel for all metering parameters. The KW and Var sharing can be configured for analogue or step control outputs making the unit suitable for AVRs and motor operated potentiometers requiring step controller output.
