Renewable fuels can cover a wide range of sources, from traditional wood/bark, harvesting residues, to sewage sludge and waste wood, all containing calorific values that can easily compete with fossil fuels such as brown coal and lignite. Fluidised bed boilers are the optimal combustion technology for generating energy from renewable fuels, as this system provides maximum fuel flexibility combined with high combustion efficiency and low emissions.
