India reduces pithead coal stocks

Coal stocks at Indian mines have fallen sharply since the begin- ning of last month, as state-controlled mining frm Coal India (CIL) cuts production and increases sales through electronic auctions. Pithead stocks at CIL’s mines fell by around 5.7mn t to around 52mn t this week from 1 April.
