The joint venture establishes the commercial arrangements for The development of an AUD 80 million dollars greenfield wind power project near Rongcheng City in Shandong Province, on China's east coast. The wind farm will have an operating capacity of 48.75MW, with construction planned to commence later this year and full commissioning of the project by mid ?007. Roaring 40s was formed last year as a joint venture between Hong Kong based power company CLP Group, the largest external investor in the electricity industry in mainland China, and Hydro "lacmania, the largest renewable energy developer in Australia, Roaring 40s has an established wind farm portfolio in Australia, and has subsequently entered the New Zealand, India and China markets.
