GEOTHERMAL SYSTEM TO REDUCE CLUB'S HEATING AND COOLING COSTS

The Maroondah Sports Club in Victoria will become host to the state's first geothermal cooling and heating system in a project assisted by AGL Energy Limited. The installation of the system will save the club a projected $12,000 in its first year of use and up to $150,000 in the next decade. The GeoAir geothermal technologies incur a high upfront installation cost when compared to other systems. However, with significant long-term savings, it's a sacrifice club manager Julian Cosimo is willing to take.
