October fuel-grade coke exports rise

The US exported 2.5mn mt of fuel-grade petroleum coke in October, almost 15pc more than in September but roughly equal to a year earlier. The mix of destinations shifted away from the Americas. Exports to Africa were up 168pc on the year to 129,368mt and exports to Europe were up 42pc to 645,517mt, while exports to South America fell 33pc with Chile not taking any US coke in October.
