US steelmakers file new dumping, subsidy cases

Three US steelmakers have filed petitions charging that imports of certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from 12 countries, including China, Brazil and South Korea, are allegedly being dumped in the US and causing material injury to US industry. Petitions from Nucor, SSAB and ArcelorMittal USA allege that producers in the 12 countries are selling plate in the US at less than fair value, with alleged dumping margins ranging from 6.53-74.24pc for Taiwan, with the smallest potential amount, to South Korea with the largest at 244.2pc.
