Marathon Petroleum’s 475,000 b/d Galveston Bay refinery in Texas City, Texas, reported two unit upsets over the past week. First, an aromatic recovery unit experienced issues during start up on 24 November starting about 11:45am ET and ending at 1:20pm, a filing to state environmental regulators said. Then on 27 November an unidentified unit experienced issues while bringing equipment online, a filing to state environmental regulators said. The second incident occurred at 11:41am ET on and ended at 2:11pm.
