Turkey’s cement stocks fall

Turkey’s cement stockpiles fell for the first time this year in September as production was scaled back. Stocks at the end of September stood at around 573,000mt, a drop of 35pc from August and down more than 20pc on the year. Cement inventories had been increasing since January because of higher output and falling exports. Exports to EU countries have fallen by the biggest margin as the number of construction projects has been cut.
