The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) determined that imports of welded large diameter carbon and alloy steel line pipe from China and Japan have caused or are threatening to cause injury to domestic industry. The CITT determination, released yesterday, follows an investigation launched in March in response to a complaint fled by Evraz and its affliate Canadian National Steel. The companies allege that these products from China and Japan are being dumped on the Canadian market, and that imports from China are also receiving unfair subsidization.
