Historic energy reforms in Mexico are creating a pocket of optimism amid the gloomy “lower for longer” price sentiment in the market. Sendero Resources, a midstream company, has recently opened an office in Mexico City and is interested in buying assets Mexico’s state-owned oil company Pemex divests, as well as cross-border pipelines. “Mexico is infrastructure short and opportunity long. It is a bright spot,” said Sendero chief executive Clay Bretches, on the sidelines of the IHS CeraWeek conference in Houston.
